This is me for the past few weeks but replace “depressed” with “infirm”.

Hey boos! For those not following my Adventures in VSG surgery over at @energizing_buberella_vsg , I’m still doing great. Experiencing a bit of a lull (in terms of energy and nausea) after a superior two weeks of incredible energy and an iron stomach post-surgery. I’m continuing to lose weight and inches at an appropriate rate and continuing to wash that pink outta my hair (but might put it back in professionally). Oh one thing is that I’m dying to go swimming, to drink whiskey, and to travel; namely because they are expressly verboten for at least four weeks. Dammit.

Hey boos, here’s what my stomach looks like now. You see that light pink part? It’s gone. They do rows of staples to section off the stomach and then they cut off the outside section that they don’t need anymore. While it IS irreversible technically (and actually), your stomach CAN stretch again (although you wouldn’t want it to bc you risk weight gain). I did feel really weird about getting rid of part of a healthy organ that had never been anything but good to me. BUT I took the plunge because I want to get my energy up fast, enjoy my life, and improve my health. Let me know if you have questions or want to talk about it. I’m happy to!

Okay boos, I turned 40, dyed my hair pink, and am having gastric sleeve surgery tomorrow! If you want to follow some posts about the latter, follow me at @energizing_buberella_vsg . I’m going to keep that separate account for posting about my progress and this one for day to day. THINGS ARE HAPPENING!
