I have been interning at Stand Up To Cancer since early August. It’s been an awesome experience so far and here are a few pictures that I took around my office (I hope I don’t get in trouble for this). This is the Columbia Pictures Building on the Sony Lot:
In case I didn’t already tell you, SU2C’s offices are on the Sony Lot. Here is the Sony building. So cool-looking. Even cooler in person, methinks.
Here is just a picture of my lousy laptop with a picture I took of the Neversink River as the wallpaper. I thought I took this picture at SU2C but it turns out I didn’t. You can see my paint, cabinets and dish drainer in the background, haha. BTW, I was testing out a photo app on my phone when I took this pic and just thought it came out cool.
Here is Main Street on the Sony lot at night. This is the main touristy area. It’s cute. The Sony Lot used to be the old MGM Lot in the Silver Screen era of Hollywood. “The Wizard of Oz”, “Singin in the Rain”, “Lawrence of Arabia” and all of the “Spiderman” movies have been shot on this lot. Because all of Hollywood is literally and figuratively in bed with each other, this lot has changed hands a number of times over the years and is now largely associated with Columbia and Tri-Star Pictures, Screen Gems and Sony.
And this is the water tower. I just think it’s pretty.
I have a lot more to tell you about Stand Up to Cancer but I have had this post languishing in my “Drafts” folder since August 29th. I have a few more to post also. Our internet is down so I haven’t been able to post as much as I want to. So sorry for the next few boring posts. Bear with me. : D
